Before I was even born, my father was a camera fanatic, he purchased every camera and video cameras that he could get his hands on. As much as everyone would tell him to stop filming them or taking their pictures with his various cameras. He always said, "watch when I get them developed they will all be dying to see the pictures and the 8mm videos, and he was always right. I recently came across this 8 mm movie projector that my dad bought in 1960 and when I put a reel of an old 8 mm sports film to see if it worked I could not believe when I flipped the switch the light bulb inside the casing went on and began to show a gift my grandmother had given me years ago for Christmas of the highlights of the 1969 Super Bowl game with the Jets versus the Colts. I thought the idea of taking a photo of this 1960 Keystone 8 mm Movie Projector in black and white would be a good idea. I did not want to photograph it in color to take away from that vintage feel and era. Hard to believe after 60 years this projector still works, just goes to show everyone that back then they made things that lasted forever.
