FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While visiting the famous grounds of Old Westbury Gardens on Long Island this past summer, I came across this fascinating cottage that had been built during World War II to allow the children who lived at Old Westbury Gardens a place to play. In addition, the owners of Old Westbury Gardens were famous for bringing children from Europe during World War II and protecting them on their property so this was just not your typical children's playhouse. The cottage itself could probably house today two grown adults. I took several photos of this quaint cottage one is already on my website shown in color and from a side view. Here I wanted to capture the front door entrance and show it in black and white to give it that vintage feel of when it was first built during the 1940's
