While on a long weekend vacation in the Poconos, one of my favorite places to visit. I drove down the road from where I was staying to the Bushkill Falls also known as the Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania. Everytime I visit the Poconos I make it a point to visit the Bushkill Falls and take different trails in order to see the Falls from different angles. This year I started my hike on the far side of the Falls and eventually started to hike on the trail I was on to what was my right side of the Bushkill Falls and hike up a little higher. At this point I was close to where the Bushkill Waterfalls began and lined up perfectly in order to see the river coming over the first drop and then the second drop. I wanted to capture each of the three drops of the Bushkill Falls and since I had already captured the complete Fall when I was standing across the river at the beginning of my trail I thought it would be a good idea to see if I could capture each drop of the Fall as close as I could get to it. This meant climbing the trail a little bit steeper to basically be overlooking the Falls. I was able to see perfectly clear the river coming down and running off the first Fall or drop and the running into the second Fall or drop. I was so close that with a little bit of a breeze I was feeling the spray of the Bushkill Falls and the noise was exciting to listen to as you could hear each Fall crashing down and running off to the next Fall until it would all crash at the bottom. Great action and scenic images.
