While driving through the countryside of Connecticut in the middle of the day with my friend and camera case in hand. My friend took me to a great spot where the a powerful stream was shooting down and eventually out into the Long Island Sound. The reason behind the power of the stream as it was coming off of a waterfall which was about 36 feet high. The major problem I faced trying to get several good quality shots was that this area in Connecticut recently had experienced a tornado which had just ripped right through a small area but had knocked down everything in it's pass. So to get a good shot of the stream without seeing all of the various knocked down trees and branch limbs you really had to look hard and be patient. But when I found the right spot it was worth it. As I was able to capture the rapids picking up speed and running over the rocks and forming that white water as the water picked up speed moving down stream.
