While visiting my relatives out east on Long Island in a small town called Flanders, we decided on a gorgeous day to drive into Riverhead and walk around town. I came across this beautiful park, with stone bridges and waterfalls and running streams. Interesting enough you could also kayak in the lakes and the smaller waterfalls allowed you to kayak down a canal that leads out to the ocean. So all of this rushing water I was viewing was eventually making its way out to the Atlantic Ocean. As I was taking in all of the beautiful sites I came across this beautiful waterfall scene with my niece who was also taken pictures that day, as she has a great eye for photography. I found this old stone bridge and underneath it was a cave that had water rushing out of it so quickly that the arch of the water shot out far and the water dropped immediately down. Due to the extreme rushing of the water it was digging a hole and causing the water to fly up in the air and create strong white water rapids. The bridge was put together by stones piled on top of each other and these rapids were some that were leading out to the canal and then to the Atlantic Ocean. After my niece and I had finished taken our photos we compared them and joined the rest of the family.
