While staying in Flanders located on the eastern part of Long Island I had to attend several meetings in Riverhead. I finished with my meetings ahead of schedule and decided to stop at a park in the heart of Riverhead right off of Main Street in the Arts District. I had been to this park before with my camera and it had so much to offer from streams, lakes, old fashioned bridges, various birds, canals and many more things. I walked into the park from a different side then I had before and walked right by this powerful waterfall. While I photographed a similar waterfall this one was much more powerful and I wanted to get as close to it as possible to capture the waterfall's power. I was able to get to the side of the rapidly flowing stream that led into a canal and out into the Atlantic Ocean and took as many shots as I could. The noise of the water flowing over the edge and crashing down causing the white water to be formed made me feel like I was right in the waterfall. After reviewing the various photos I took this one was my favorite and I decided to post this one as I felt it captured that raw power
