Went to Captree State Park, located in Wantagh, New York on the south shore of Long Island. This park is famous for it's many party and charter boats and the being completed surrounded by the waters of Long Island. You can see many different sea birds in this park and it has a nice relaxing atmosphere to it. While I was there in July 2012 I came across several Laughing Gulls flying around I put my zoom lens on and set my camera to shudder speed hoping to catch a nice clear photo of one of these birds in flight. Instead as I was standing on a bench I looked over my shoulder and standing right on one of the charter boats pilings was a gorgeous looking Laughing Gull almost posing for me I quickly took his photo and several others came around so got several different photos of these birds coming and going.
