While in San Diego I was fortunate enough to get a day to go to the San Diego Zoo and see if I could capture some animals I had not photographed yet, or even get better photos of ones that I had captured. I was glad to see this large Camel just sitting down resting, as I was able to get off several photos moving around him. I wanted the photo that I was going to use to look as if he was in his natural habitat. I was also waiting to see if he would get up and walk around but I waited and other people with me wanted to keep moving so I was only able to get the Camel in his resting position. The Camel was so regal looking as those long legs were folded under his large body and that long neck gave you a good idea just how big he was. His body was covered in thick fur with the exception of his nose and parts of his legs. When he would look around I was able to also get a good view of his hump. This Camel was bigger than I thought I was going to see and was bigger than any I had seen at the Bronx Zoo or any other zoos
