While enjoying a nice relaxing day at Long Beach on the south shore of Long Island on Father's Day, I noticed the waves starting to really start to come up onto the sand closer and closer to where I was sitting. I grabbed my camera as I began to witness the waves getting larger and larger and crashing harder onto the jetties at Long Beach. I walked down to the jetty that was closest to me and climbed up on top of it to get a good shot of the action going on in the ocean as the tide continued to rise causing havox with the waves, current and riptide. The next thing I knew the waves were on top of me and I quickly ran onto the beach to avoid getting my camera wet. The angle I was at allowed me to capture the waves crushing down on the jetty and just rolling along its side while then sliding back out into the ocean. It was a gorgeous day out with a great looking light blue sky and in the background from where I was standing I could see due to how clear it was several barges sitting out in the Atlantic Ocean
