While attending a car show in April of 2015 I came across something I had never seen before, and that is a statement coming from someone who has been at hundreds of car shows and seen thousands of various cars, tucks and motorcycle. When I walked onto the grounds of the Car Show that was being held on the north shore of Long Island on the beach I saw the famous Good Humor Ice Cream Truck in the back of a lot of other cars. When I made my way down to the Good Humor Ice Cream Truck I could not believe someone had turned this 1969 Ford Ice Cream Truck into a Hot Rod for drag racing. I met the owner and he told me where he raced it and said he used it strictly for drag racing. But believe it or not he still managed to have the freezer's working so he could carry ice cream around as he reached in and gave me a Good Humor bar. The truck was in mint condition with a blue and white soft canopy over the front cabin and various changes on the side where he had the inscription changed to Good Humor I SCREAM. The hood had two holes in it so the raised engine and radiator could fit through once the hood was down. The truck had large front fenders that were connected by running boards to the rear fenders. After taking some pictures from various angles and the inside where he had the original Good Humor Caps I moved on to see if I could find something more unusual but this topped it for the day
