FAA WATERCOLOR MARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While out in Riverhead, NY, I decided to take a ride with my niece to see if I could find any interesting items to photograph. As we were driving down the road we came across this farm that sold fruits and vegetables and had a wide variety of old farm equipment on the farm's front lawn. As my niece was shopping for fruits and vegetables I came across this unusually painted farm tractor. The tractor was painted completely purple and was made completely made out of metal with the exception of the small dual tires in the front that had rubber on them. One of the workers of the farm came by as I was looking at this tractor and told me it was an irrigation tractor and that the spikes in the large rear wheels help create holes in the land while pulling a similar bar with smaller spiked wheels. The bar shoots water out over the farm land thus irrigating it. I asked him why purple and he said because it attracts people like me to look at it when it is not being used and hopefully go inside the produce store and buy something, then he just laughed. But it sure was different looking and did catch my eye.
