Recently on a very mild weekend day during the winter season I took a ride with my girlfriend to Jones Beach on her birthday.. She said it was so nice out for the winter, (50 degrees out) that we should take a ride to Jones Beach to see how it was down there, before going out for the night. I grabbed my camera before leaving for the ride to the beach which is only fifteen minutes from my house. When we got there I could not believe how beautiful the weather was and there were many other people who had come out to take advantage of the gorgeous day and take a walk in the sun along the shore at Jones Beach. We went right down to the water and I could not believe how the ocean had a mixture of light blue, and dark blue in it, the waves were still coming in pretty hard but not as high and with less of an undertow. The sky was remarkable without a cloud and a beautiful blue color to it. As I began to take various photos I turned to the east and took this photo of the waves coming in and another set curling under with a great clear shot of the horizon in the background with the sky and ocean meeting each other. Great day at the beach as we stayed so long we didn't even want to leave.
