While heading out into the Atlantic Ocean from Oceanside, New York located on the south shore of Long Island at 6:00 am for a long day of fishing for stripers, the boat began to pick up some speed and I turned from the cabin where I was preparing some of my fishing equipment and turned and saw this great view of the sun rising slightly above the horizon and giving off a stunning yellow glow which reached from the sun down to the horizon. While I was looking at this gorgeous site and preparing my camera, the boat began to pick up some more speed leaving a great scene in the ocean as the waves split apart and plenty of white cap water could be seen, along with a great view of the sun reflecting on the water from the horizon to the boat. In addition, with the sun rising into the sky it created a silhouette image of any land or buildings in the far background. This was the start of a great day for striper fishing as we were able to catch our limit and I had plenty of fish to eat for the next two weeks.
