While attending a classic car show in West Babylon that was sponsored by the Wounded Warrior Foundation, I came across this amazing looking 1937 Ford Muroc Convertible Roadster. The first thing that caught my eye was the color and how the car was remarkable painted in this gorgeous bright orange color making it look like it had just rolled out of the factory. Next as I was walking around the car trying to get a look inside and also the best angles to take several photos I could not believe how low this car was to the ground. I was told by the owner of this car that the front grill was only four inches off the ground. Therefore, he was always very careful when approaching speed bumps. Another feature that I saw and loved was the over sized fenders and how they were connected by a very low lying orange (of course) running board. The car had tremendous room in the front seat and even a lot of room in the rear seat. A very large trunk area, with a hood that opened in the opposite direction. This was one of my favorite cars at the Wounded Warrior Foundation Classic Car Show that day. For more on the Ford Muroc Covertible Roadster, please feel free to read the information below;
Jerry & Maureen Magnusons Magnatude 1937 Muroc roadster, hand formed by Marcel and designed by Chip Foose was named Americas Most Beautiful Street Rod presented by Hushpower at the Goodguys 24th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton. With the win, Magnatude made it a clean sweep this year winning all three major street rod awards offered by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association. In April the car won the Goodguys Street Rod dElegance crown and was named Goodguys/Classic Instruments Street Rod of the Year in Columbus. In being named Goodguys Americas Most Beautiful Street Rod, it marked the first time a car has swept all three coveted awards in the same calendar year.
