FAA WATERCOLOR MARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While attending a great car show down at Tobay Beach on Long Island this year, I came across this remarkable looking 1969 American Rambler made by AMC. This car however had been modified for speed and looks and it showed. The car was painted red and white with the side panels painted red and above and below the red was white paint. The car had only two doors and for this era all four windows were roll down. The front seat was a bench with plenty of leg room. Large trunk space, but the real story was what caught my eye. The Rambler had these long extension rods connected to the body of the car and hood of the car. This allowed the hood to go straight up in the air so the engine with its 390 engine could easily be worked on. Also the hood had a blue pin stripe coming down the middle of it. The hood also had a top of it a header. When I was speaking to the owner he told me that sometimes when he is at a track he will remove the hood all together and open it up to see if there are any problems or what it can do. Extremely fast car and well put together.
