While on a long weekend vacation in the Poconos, one of my favorite places to visit. I drove down the road from where I was staying to the Bushkill Falls also known as the Niagara Falls of Pennsylvania. Everytime I visit the Poconos I make it a point to visit the Bushkill Falls and take different trails in order to see the Falls from a different angle. This year I started my hike on the far side of the Falls where I was lined up perfectly with the Bushkill Falls and could see all three drops off points of the Bushkill Falls. The only thing when I started on my first trail from the Bushkill Falls was the river down below. After several shots of the complete Falls with some nature added into the shots I started to hike on the trail I was on moving to my right to get around to the Falls left. After a while I had photographed the first, second and third drops and wanted to get closer to the bottom to really capture the great scene of the Bushkill Falls crashing down on the rocks below with all of the white water spraying all over and eventually hitting the river and heading towards the Delaware Water Gap. I broke off of the trail I was on and went lower and right up against the bottom of the Falls. The noise was loud and you could feel the spray hitting you immediately as you stood there. I had to move back in order to avoid my camera getting wet and maybe ruined. I put on a telephoto lens and was able to capture this great stop action shot of the Falls making their final crash. Great action and scenic image.
