FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While attending a Classic Car show on the grounds of Long Island, New York' s Newday, I came across another fantastic looking Classic Car Hood Ornament to add to my gallery of Automobile Hood Ornaments, Logos and Car Paintings. With each piece I do as much research to find out what made the car manufacturer decide to go with the shape, size and design of the hood ornament or logo. In the case of the 1930 Ford Coupe, Henry Ford and his son wanted to keep ahead of Chevy and chose a bird that was a symbol of speed. In this case they had a Quail design done to show the Quail flying quickly through the air with it's wings down to show even more strength in the flight of the Quail. This hood ornament became a success and was very popular in the aftermarket as Ford owners wanted this symbol on their cars.
