While at the Bronx Zoo located in the Bronx, New York on an unusually warm day in late October, I passed the lion den and was lucky enough to capture this male lion starting right at me. I immediately began to take various photos and in my opinion this head shot showing the "King of the Jungle" resting but yet with that face still intimidating from a far was the best one of the day of the male lion. I was also lucky enough to be able to capture the female lion shortly after as she came by the male.
