While visiting the Bronx Zoo, located in the heart of the Bronx, New York, I was beginning to walk through the African section of the Bronx Zoo when I heard loud sounds of banging, i walked over to a very low lying cement wall and saw two Ibex ramming into each other's horns competing for dominance, as I looked around I saw about two dozen Ibex grazing and playing, then right in front of me two very large Baboons ran in front of me I could not believe how close I was to all of this wildlife. Then I noticed the wide ditch filled with water separating the animals from the low cement wall. As I was watching the action between the Ibex and Baboons, I looked to my right and saw these tiny animals called Rock Hyrax, I read the sign about them and it described them as mammals mostly found in Africa who are closet in internal body structure to an elephant. I could not believe that these tiny mammals were being compared to elephants and...
