FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While getting ready to board my boat which I had docked on the Hudson Canal in Freeport, New York located on the south shore of Long Island I always would see this one particular swan coming up to my slip. A couple that was sitting on a bench at the marina that day got up and started calling to the Swan, "Come here Charlie" and feeding it crackers. They told me they used to have a boat in the slip where mine was and that their kids used to feed this female swan and called it Charlie, so the name stuck and everytime the Swan sees someone getting on their boat in their boat from this slip Charlie comes over looking for food. You can tell Charlie is a female swan due to the large missing section of feathers in the rear of the swan. This is where the female swan carries her eggs and eventually after she has her ducklngs she carries food in this carved out section to feed her duckling until they are ready to go out on their own.
