While sitting in Riverhead which is located at the eastern end of Long Island, I came across this ocean inlet that had waves crashing into this small inlet and causing a tremendous white water rapids to flow downstream. The white water rapids looked like a washing machine with to much detergent in it as the white water could be seen from where the ocean waves were forcing the water into this tiny inlet. I looked down this rapid and could see what was causing all of the action. As the white water rapids were flowing downstream they were crashing into a calm moving stream that was moving up on a small incline. Therefore, causing the rapids to be halted by the calm stream and generating all of this tremendous amount of white water. It was great to sit back and hear the water crashing and seeing it jump all over the area, great action view.

My name is John Telfer, my love for photography began when I was about 7 years old and tried to duplicate the action photos I saw in Sports Illustrated. Photography for me since then has become more then a hobby but a passion that I truly enjoy. My art work is not only visible on my web site but at various photography exhibits I have had the opportunity to display my photography work at. My work includes such themes as scenery, wildlife, flowers, city shots, urban, people, fishing and classic cars. There is something in my galleries for everyone. All of my photos would look good hanging on a wall and would make a pleasant gift for a family member or friend or as a gift to your Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Barber or family businessman for...
