FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While walking around the Queens Zoo located in Queens, New York on the old Worlds Fair grounds from the 1967-68 Worlds Fair. I saw this American Bald Eagle quietly and very carefully positioning himself on the log that he was standing on. As I came closer he made a quick move and captured a rodent and ate it. Afterwards he went back to his log which he had captured the rodent from and washed his claws in the water one at a time while maintaining his balance on the log. I had my shudder speed on my camera set and was capturing everything as it was happening to his kill, the feeding, the washing of his claws and to finally his proud stance looking for any intruders as he stood proud on his log.

My name is John Telfer, my love for photography began when I was about 7 years old and tried to duplicate the action photos I saw in Sports Illustrated. Photography for me since then has become more then a hobby but a passion that I truly enjoy. My art work is not only visible on my web site but at various photography exhibits I have had the opportunity to display my photography work at. My work includes such themes as scenery, wildlife, flowers, city shots, urban, people, fishing and classic cars. There is something in my galleries for everyone. All of my photos would look good hanging on a wall and would make a pleasant gift for a family member or friend or as a gift to your Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Barber or family businessman for...
