I recently attending a Classic Car Show in West Islip, New York on Long Island whose sponsor was the "Wounded Warrior Project". I had the great opportunity to meet some individuals who have served our country and others who have started the "Wounded Warror Project" a great organization. While walking around this wonderful event I came across this stunning 1968 Volkswagon Dune Buggy Convertible, which had been designed by the famous boat builder and surfer Bruce Meyers, Meyers began producing these cars in 1964 until 1971 and set all types of speed records for desert racing. The company that Meyers started to build these cars went out of business after he left the company and then they ran into tax problems and other financial problems that caused the demise of the company.
