While fishing with my friends off of a charter fishing boat on a cold November day out of Oceanside, New York located on the south shore of Long Island we headed towards New Jersey waters in some rough seas with eight to ten foot swells as we headed out to the New Jersey waters. While the ride was rough due to the swells once we hit the New Jersey waters the ocean seemed to calm down a bit and we were able to do some striper fishing before heading off to the Far Rockaways for some Blackfishing. In this photo is one of my friends and a certified captain of his own charter fishing boat on the north shore of Long Island with the striper catch of the day. A real beauty weighing in at 48lbs.
