A few weeks ago during the beginning of the fall several friends of mine chartered a fishing boat for the five of us. This is one of my favorite hobbies and one I enjoy every chance I get. It allows me to get out in the middle of the ocean and enjoy the scenery and being together with my friends and bringing my camera and video camera to capture all of the action so I can always look back on the memories and some pretty exciting moments. In addition, some of the opportunities to photograph the sunrises, sunsets and in the middle of the day fishing on Long Island cannot be duplicated. On this particular day my friends set out to fish for tuna as we dropped our lines much to our surprise our bait was getting taken by dozens of sharks. While we had heard the reports of sharks in the area we thought we had a secluded area. My first cast I hooked a seven foot mako shark while others on the boat hooked brown and blue sharks. We did...
