Recently while on vacation in Jacksonville, North Carolina visiting my son and his wife we decided to go to a vacation area in Wilmington, North Carolina where there are a lot of private beaches for the individuals renting beach homes for the summer. On the first day at the beach the waves were tall and were great for riding from surfer boards, body boards, or just body surfing. The waves would carry you right into shore and no problem getting back out to the deep waters. On the second day we went to Indian Beach we all went back in the water and I could notice something different immediately the waves were larger and they were curling under way before they carried you to the shore. Therefore, throwing a lot of riders head over heals as I know because I was one of them. My name is John Telfer, my love for photography began when I was about 7 years old and tried to duplicate the action photos I saw in Sports Illustrated. Photography for me since then has become more then a hobby but a passion that I truly enjoy.
