While on a trip to San Diego I was able to take some time and visit the world famous San Diego Zoo. I had heard the Bronx Zoo was better from some people and others the San Diego Zoo was. So I figured I would be able to judge for myself and in addition get some great wildlife photos for my web site. While in the African area of the zoo I came upon several zebras but they scattered or were laying down with the exception of this one. This zebra was standing in just the right spot to make it look like it was back in Africa. Surrounded by large dried rocks and boulders along with a dried out tree bark, this zebra looked very majestic with those stripes that just stood out and the great size of him along with a clear view of his white underbelly and white tail with a black tip at the end. Great opportunity to get a photo of this very majestic looking animal appearing to be in his natural surroundings.

Black horse with white stripes or a white horse with black stripes - either way, it's a beauty!
