While attending a 10-K race that my daughter and son-in-law where running in Sleepy Hollow, New York on October 19, 2013 we decided before heading home we would go around the town of Sleepy Hollow and see some of the tourists attractions that makes this town so famous based on the novel by Washington Irving about the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. It is said Washington Irving based his book on a couple who lived in Sleepy Hollow during the time he was there the Van Damsels. As we were leaving the Sleepy Hollow cemetery and I was taking some last minute photos I heard a very clear sound of a horse's walk on cement. I turned and look and saw coming out of the woods this gentleman in his Headless Horseman outfit with a gorgeous white horse and of course the missing head. Like a little kid I ran and got my video camera and began taking photos and video taping the whole scene as my daughter and my son-in-law soon jumped into the scene and I was able to get photos of them posing with the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.
