While staying out in Montauk Point, which is located at the very eastern end of Long Island New York during the middle of winter in February. I went to the very end of Montauk Point by the Montauk Lighthouse on a very cold, windy day were the temperture was around 30 degrees and the strong winds made it feel like 10 degrees. I stood in back of the Montauk Lighthouse which is the end of New York before you go right into the ocean, thus the nickname, "The End". and took this beautiful clear photo in the middle of a winter day of a beautiful clear blue sky and a calm winter ocean with some small ripples and white caps showing and with that winter sun glistening off of the ocean to the right of the photo. Through my camera it appeared to me that if I headed out to the horizon where the sky and Atlantic Ocean were meeting I would fall right off it was that still and straight. Great opportunity to capture this midday winter shot at the very last piece of territory before you hit the ocean on Long Island.
