After a long day of fishing in the ocean right off of Point Lookout on the south shore of Long Island, decided to pull up anchor and begin to slowly head into the marina with our limit of fish at approximately 8:30pm. As I went up to the bow of my boat to pull up the anchor I looked out and saw this remarkable sky as the sun had already set below the horizon yet it was such a hot day the sun was giving off a fantastic glow in the sky. Creating a sky full of blue., yellow, orange and red colors, mixed in with the deep dark blue water. Such an awesome and peaceful photo. I quickly grabbed my camera and photographed this scene before I lost any of the colors in the sky. Great way to end a fantastic day of fishing. In addition, if you look closely to your left you can see a plane landing at Kennedy Airport.
