While walking outside on the grounds of the Old Westbury Gardens, I came to the rear of the gardens where I came across this beautifully designed stone archway, with some bricks design in it along with a beautiful statue on the top of the archway along with a fancy arch a top of the archway . The archway had a great looking designed steel fence in the middle of the stone archway with a beautifully designed red brick wall connecting on each side of the archway. Upon passing through this archway you come across a gorgeous garden made up of various flowers and a koi pond with various gazebos and fountains, such a great looking site during autumn and spring time. For more information on Old Westbury Gardens please feel free to read the information below;
Old Westbury Gardens was home to John S. Phipps and his wife, Margarita Grace Phipps. Completed in 1906 this 44 room, Charles II style mansion was designed by George A. Crawley, an English architect. The house is furnished with English antiques, furniture and decorative arts once owned by the family. Situated on 200 acres the estate consists of formal gardens, landscaped grounds, fountains, ponds and a lake which are quite impressive. Old Westbury Gardens is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
