FAA WATERCOLOR MARK WILL NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While getting ready to leave the Flamingo section of the San Diego Zoo I was just about to put my lens cover on when I saw this very tall Flamingo standing on the sand next to the bank of the water. He looked like he was going in when just like another Flamingo I saw he stopped and raised one of his long legs and braced it against the other and stood there doing a balancing act. This Flamingo I was able to capture right in the front of his body. He had an extremely long pink neck with a white face that had black streaks on it and a fully black beak. He was managing to stand on one leg while balancing his very large and thick body. His feathers were extremely long and were a variety of dark and light pink and white colors. At the bottom of his long leg was a web foot which was more pronounced in this photo than other photos I took of several other Flamingos.
