While playing tourist for a day I took my friend who grew up on Long Island New York with me and now lives in San Francisco on a trip to to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. We decided that we would walk across it from the Brooklyn side into downtown New York and than walk back at dusk and catch a different view of the sites at a different time of the day. As we began to call it a day and head back over the Brooklyn Bridge, I was looking for something I may have missed or something new and thats when I saw this old fashioned street light encased in an old fashioned metal frame that still works to this day. As I was going to just photograph the street lamp, I saw this perfect view of the second and last arch on the bridge with the American Flag flying perfectly and from where I was standing I was surrounded by every type of girter, steel cable, poles all leading up to the arch way. It was a great site and I was also able to incorporate the old fashioned light into the photo. Next idea is to try it at night.
