While going through some photos today I came across this beautiful sunset that was taken while I had my boat anchored in an inlet from the Atlantic Ocean in Freeport Long Island, NY. As I was on my 28 foot Bayliner I had the anchor down and was waiting for the tide to come in and I had my music on with some friends on the boat. The day had been beautiful and I sat there on the bow of the boat I could see some clouds rolling in, but these were not storm clouds as they were broken up with orange and red colors coming through them from the sun. From were I was sitting on my boat I could see on both the left and right side the low tide as the marsh lands were showing. But as I sat up on my bow I could not take my eye off of that sun as it just had a different look to it with those streaking orange and red lines streaking across the sky. But then again I always said you see more different sunsets and sunrises on Long Island than anywhere else. I grabbed my camera and began to take some photos before I lost the sun behind the horizon. I was able to capture some trees in a silhouette format in the far background. After I took the photos since it was such a beautiful night and the marina was just around the marsh lands, maybe a 25 minute ride we hung out for several more hours enjoying that beautiful Long Island Summer Sunset
