While staying with my relatives in Flanders on the eastern part of Long Island one weekend recently, we decided to drive into the main town of Riverhead, New York on the east end of Long Island. We began walking around town and came across this nice peaceful park, with beautiful lakes, streams, waterfalls, ducks, geese, ducklings, rides and plenty of places to sit by the water. My niece had brought her camera along also as she has a great eye for photography and always takes some fantastic images. As we were walking in the park everyone began to split up and my niece an I stayed together as we saw this very calm lake that had a stream that led out to a canal and eventually the Atlantic Ocean. We decided to take photos from this side of the lake as the water was quickly moving over some rocks from the lake and then coming to a narrow area where more rocks were causing the flowing stream to go from a gentle stream to a wild rushing stream as the water hit the narrow area and more rocks and began to jump in the air causing white water to develop. The stream was lined with gorgeous plants and grass making this a beautiful site. My niece and I took several photos compared our images with each other and moved on to find more images to photograph
