Recently while on vacation decided to ask my two daughters if they would like to take a ride and go to Coney Island for the day in the later part of the afternoon, since New York during this past week was getting hit with very hot and humid days. I had not been to Coney Island in about a year and my daughters had never been there, so I thought it would be something to do for the day. We got to Coney Island and after parking proceeded to go through the various areas where some of the rides were. Next we made are way onto the famous Coney Island Boardwalk and began to walk down enjoying the sites on the beach and the view of the rides and the various food vendors. Then we reached the section of the boardwalk where there is a Pier about a football field in lenght that goes out into the ocean and allows you to oversee the beach and watch fishing off the Pier and be able to turn back and see a beautiful view like this. When I took this photo we went off to the left of the Pier and I wanted to capture the waves breaking in and the people in the water and on the beach along with some of the taller tides such as the Wonder Wheel, the world's tallest ferris wheel and the Thunderbolt Rollercoaster ride. In addition, I have in my background the various apartment houses that surround this part of Brooklyn, along with a beautiful blue summer sky and deep blue ocean water. One of those photos that I call being in the right place at the right time.
