While attending one of the largest Classic Car Shows on Long Island in September 2017 which was held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY I came across this beautiful 1965 Excalibur Roadster Series 1 SSK. The car seemed to resemble in certain areas cars that I had photographed before. For example the front fenders and grill looked like an old 1920's Mercedes Benz I had photographed and when I did some research I found out they had taken the design from the 20's Mercedes Benz and put it on this car. This car had very distinguished exterior exhaust pipes, three pipes on each side of the engine that came out of the side of the hood and ran down along the bottom of the two doors. The cars tires were spiked and also had that old fashioned look to them. While the doors resembled doors from a Triumph, or maybe it was Triumph that got the idea from Excalibur. The owner told me that the frame was build from the design of an early 60's designed Studebaker. Overall it was a very sporty looking 1960's car
