Each year in September, Long Island plays host to one of the largest Classic Car shows around. The show is a two day event, usually with the first day being used as a theme day for example when the Mustangs were 50 years old the first day of the weekend car show was dedicated to just Mustangs. This past year 2017 the two day event was open to all makes and models of cars. The event is held at Eisenhower Park and is free to attend. After being at the show for 6 hours last year my friend and I decided it was time to leave and started to make our way to the visitors parking lot. Before we could leave the show I came across this mint conditioned 1961 Chevy Corvette Muscle Car. The paint job on the car was a blended purple and white which went perfectly together. It was a nice compact two door car with a hard top painted completely purple. Also for that period it had the rounded side view mirrors. The design of the car along with the paint job gave it that sporty fast look. This was the type of car as the owner said that was painted this way so that when he was cruising along fast it would give the appearance of him moving even faster. The header on top of the front hood fit perfectly and was painted perfectly to fit in with the rest of the car The owner was very proud of his car and the numerous awards he had won at different shows and had them displayed in front of the low lying grill of the car. The grill was small and sat just barely above the small front fender. I was glad I was not in a hurry to leave that day and ran into this beauty
