FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While attending my last Classic Car show of 2013 in Franklin Square Long Island, New York, I was walking around and had taken quite a few photos when this mint looking 1948 Oldsmobile Two Door Sedan pulled into the show and grabbed everyone's attention. The photo of the car can be seen in my Car Portfolio. As I took several photos of this classic 1948 Oldsmobile from various angles I noticed this great piece of art work on the side panel of the car. The owner was standing there so I asked him where did he or someone get the idea for such a great piece of car art. He then took me to the front of the car and asked me to read the license plate which read, "48 Rocket". He said that is this car, it runs like a rocket and he said he approached a famous car artist on Long Island to do the art work based on some ideas he had. Like for one, he wanted it to have obviously to have a rocket in the art work with some sexual overtones to it, so the artists came up with this purple rocket going so fast that the paint is coming off of it, then he looked at me and said or you can take it another way with a big smile on his face. Next the girl was added to blend in perfectly with the colors of the car, so they painted her on with a pink sexy dress riding the rocket. He said what better then a beautiful car and a sexy woman on your car!
