While fishing for Fluke on the south shore of Long Island in Reynolds Channel located near Freeport, New York this past summer, I was on my friend's boat and we were moving around to various locations trying to see if we could get into a good pocket of fish and then drift from there. After several hours on a gorgeous summer day of catching some nice keeper flukes we decided to call it a day and head into shore and begin filleting the fluke. As I was pulling the anchor up from the bow I looked up and saw the sun setting over Reynolds Channel which is a very popular fishing area due to the fact that it attracts a lot of bait fish that larger fish go after. The view was remarkable and the water was nice and calm with just a little movement from wakes caused by the incoming tide and boats slowly passing by. I ran to the back of the boat and took out my camera and took several photos, but this one was my favorite as I caught another boat drifting for fluke and the wakes and waves so clear along with a beautiful blue sky with some white fluffy clouds drifting past. The scene had everything I could want and my timing was great to be in this spot at this time
