While fishing for Blackfish in the first week of December 2016 on a 35 degree day with winds blowing at 25 mph after 9 1/2 hours and catching our limit of Blackfish my friends and I were getting ready to head back to the docks. Usually we could fillet the fish as we would be moving through the water, but the waves heights were getting taller and we figured to just fillet the fish while we were still anchored. This one particular seagull had been sitting in the back of the boat all day by himself waiting for us to throw chewed up bait into the water or parts of the green crabs we were using to fish with. At this point as we began to fillet this seagull hovered right above the boat and every time a piece of skin was thrown in he was right there to get it. I ran into the cabin and grabbed my camera as he was in such a still position the winds were not bothering him, it was almost like he was frozen in the sky. But he had the perfect spot and grabbed as much skin as he could before the other seagulls arrived on the scene.
