While looking for areas to photograph wild animals in the New York and surrounding areas I came across this location on the computer called the Brookhaven Ecology Center which is located on the very easter end of Long Island in New York. The purpose of the Brookhaven Ecology Center is to take in wild animals and even domestic ones that are injured or sick and nurse them back to health, but they rarely release any of the wild animals back into the wild because they become to depended on man feeding and taking care of them. The center has hawks, bears, eagles, Llamas and mountain lions to name a few of it's patients. In this photograph I was lucky enough to get up close to a mountain lion who was very health looking and waiting for his dinner and caught me moving up on him and took a quick glance over at me as I waited for him to turn his head and then I was able to get this great shot of this rather large mountain lion at the Brookhaven Ecology Center.
