While walking through the various areas at the Bronx Zoo I was near the Lion area when I heard constant banging not to far away. I followed the noise and came across in front of me the Baboon's den and in back of the various Baboon's Ibex walking around feeding on the grass or just looking around. With the exception of these two Ibex who were pounding on each other's horns for domination as you would see two Rams doing. There actions were identical to that of a Ram but they were smaller but yet once they butted heads their plan was to drive the other Ibex to the ground. This battle lasted for over 20 minutes. With the Ibex to the right with the beard on his chin and obviously the older of the two winning the contest as the younger Ibex walked away leaving the older Ibex standing on the rocks by himself. I put my camera on shudder speed and continued to shoot away and was able to get some remarkable action photos from this battle of two Ibex at the Bronx Zoo, located in the Bronx, New York.
