FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While attending a recent classic car show this past summer of 2015 whose purpose was to raise money for cancer I came across a great looking 1951 MG. I took several photos of the MG, and since I have photographed MG's before it was not something unusual or out of the ordinary. But what really stuck out was the hood ornament on the car as I moved to the front of the car. It was funny to look at and very interesting. I had never seen one like this before and tried to find the owner of the car to find out more about the hood ornament. A car owner next to this car who also had an MG said it was one of several choices buyers had to pick when purchasing 1951 MG's. It was meant to look like the devil, and was called the speed demon, which it clearly did. The hand gesture was meant for the "Speed Demon" to be given a fellow driver the finger without being too vulgar. For a 1951 piece that was 65 years old it was in excellent shape and I was able to get some nice photos of it.
