While attending a Classic Car Show at Old Westbury Gardens located in Old Westbury, New York on Long Island. I came across this remarkable looking 1941 Cadillac 61 Sedanette with a remarkable red paint job. But after circling the car and taking several photos what really caught my eye was this gorgeous looking hood ornament which Cadillac designed in 1941 to capture the
sleekness, style and speed of the Cadillac. The hood ornament was named "The Nude Winged Flying Lady Hood Ornament". With her face pressed up against the force of wind due to the speed of the car Cadillac emphasized how fast their car was with no expression to her face. Her hair was designed to be blowing backwards off of her head and down along her sides coming to a V shape at the end. Perfectly positioned in the front of the hood this beautiful car art stuck out fantastically.
