FAA WATERCOLOR MARK DOES NOT APPEAR ON FINAL SALES
While attending my first Classic Car show of 2013 which was held at Belmont Race Track located on Long Island in New York I came across this mint conditioned 1934 Ford Greyhound Two Door Sedan. This was the first year for the Greyhound and it helped put Ford back ahead of Chevy who at the time was the car leader. Ford had not been in the lead since 1929. This classic came with the long vertical grill and oversized rounded front fenders that were connected to the smaller rear fenders by the running board and also were connected to each other as they ran together under the grill. The front headlights were mounted on the very front of the large front fenders. With its powerful V-8 engine this was a very fast car for its time and one of its first owners was Clyde Barrow of Bonnie and Clyde who even wrote Henry Ford a letter saying, "What a fine car you have in the Ford V-8". Ironically this would also be the car Clyde Barrow would be killed in with Bonnie Parker. The Ford Greyhound also had as an extra the famous Greyhound Hood Ornament that you could have added for between forty to fifty dollars more. This car was a real pleasure to view and photograph, hope you enjoy it.
